![]() ![]() Where do we start, well I suppose the beginning is the best place! We booked the hotel primarily based on location and the great value for money initially but having stayed here we can say that the best was yet to come as the hotel and staff were both first class. We just wanted to thank all of the helpful and caring staff at Hotel Indigo NYC Downtown - Wall Street for a wonderful anniversary stay. Overall a decent stay if you have things to do in Downtown NYC or Brooklyn. We loved the location for heading into Brooklyn though and it was simple 5 minute walk to the subway and a short ride. We didn't find that this location was horrible to stay at to reach those areas, but it does take a little more time. So we started staying a little further south near Madison Square Park, which is our ideal area as you can move into Greenwich and SOHO without to much of a hassle. The more and more that we stay in NYC, we like to avoid Time squares and most of Midtown. We have always been against staying in downtown NYC as we typically went to the well known tourist locations. We didn't try the restaurant so I cannot comment on the quality there. She was their early and often late after 11pm or so. You could tell that she was passionate about ensuring rooms met the highest level of cleanliness. Forgive me, I can't remember the head housekeepers name, but she was a Latina women that we had the pleasure to talk with. I really appreciated them and think they stand out above the rest in this regard. Towels were replenished daily and toiletries restocked. They were thorough in cleaning the room daily and never used the Covid excuse to not clean the room. The front desk staff here were nice and professional, but did not go out of their way to be helpful. ![]() If you just want a space for fresh air then the balcony is fine. The balconies are inset so you don't have much of a view unless you get their highest balcony room which has no protection from elements. I honestly don't think it is worth it to pay more for a balcony room if you re looking for a view. However, there is no table and no chairs. In NYC you pay a premium for outdoor space and as paying more the balcony we would have appreciated chairs to relax. Overall, we made it work and you can tell they tried to be creative with storage space and for the most part pulled it off. I just don't think those two areas should mix. I also didn't like that we had to put our clothes near the microwave/coffee maker. In the summer this may work, but I doubt it will provide much hanging room during the winter when clothing items are loftier. You have about a foot to 1.5 of hanging space in the tiny closet. With the room being so small they tried to come up with good storage solutions, but overall we didn't feel that the options presented worked very well. The room is tiny even by NYC standards, but we were able to still be comfortable as a party of two. We had a 5 night stay at this hotel in the 1 King Bed Premium Balcony accommodation.
